Second Chances
Following the events of the Season One finale, Kiera decides to figure on the sting of the law, obtaining support and resources from her friends at Vancouver P.D., whereas keeping their hands clean of her ways. Alec is at odds over the death of his step father, arrest of his step brother, and therefore the message from his future self. He moves in with some buddies, gets employment at a Memory specific high-tech store, and refuses to answer Kiera's calls. once Vancouver's politician is dead, Kiera works on the case together with her former department of local government partner, Sanchez Fonnegra, with CSIS Agent historian uninterrupted her for answers concerning her forcefield and invisibleness. Kiera eventually gets Alec to decision her and help. She tells Alec she is going to confront and destroy Liber8, and its growing band of 2013 followers, to preserve the longer term. Alec is unsure, asking if they must trust the message from his future self (Kiera says it's 50/50). A flash forward finally reveals the message that Alec and Kiera have seen - Alec 2077 is pleased with the tech-smart heritage that "their" father instructed them, he regrets his half in serving to the corporate-dominated future unfold, and young Alec is that the solely probability to prevent it. Unknown to Kiera and Alec 2013, we have a tendency to then see that Alec 2077 had loaded knowledge directly into Kiera 2077's brain chips.
